Learning about the world of work - what it's like to work for FutureAM

So you think you would like to be an Engineer?

This year two exceptional students came to us for their Work Experience week organised through our Human Resources Department. They were from different schools, but both of them were enthusiastic and had an interest in engineering.

Here's what Lidia and Cyrus said about their week at FutureAM:

"During my week at Future Advanced Manufacture I have learnt more than I could have hoped for.

"Everything from Accounts, Company procedures and processes to the importance of the Metrology Department and the considerations required by engineers at the Design stage.

"The overarching importance of Customer expectations and deadlines as well as the quality of the product they require are at the forefront of everything this company does.

"I saw how each unit works not in isolation but as a part of a whole process from conception to delivery.

"I was even lucky enough to visit a wind tunnel and saw where FutureAM's models were being tested prior to the production stage.

"Everyone was super friendly and open to answering all the questions I could throw their way. I can honestly say they are a lovely bunch of people."

"My week at FutureAM has been an eventful one, where I could see the engineering work that they do.

"The most exciting part was to see the machines and more specifically the wire electrical discharge (WEDM) machines that are able to cut metal with electricity.

"I would advise anyone who wants to go there that they do so. It was a very good learning experience for me."

What can we add to that? We know that FutureAM is a fantastic company, it is just lovely to have it confirmed.
