Quality Control & Testing
Future's team of highly skilled engineers, combined with a massive array of testing equipment, ensures that quality control and testing is carried out within specification, schedule and budget. ISO and similar standards operating in-house, dictate that quality control is built into all production processes from the start. Each manufactured item can be provided with a full history, audit path and type certification as required.In-process testing includes vibration, strain, friction, hydraulic pressure and flow, low magnetic permeability, liquid, gas and air flow.
Many types of testing procedures are carried out, documented and recorded:
- destructive testing
- non-destructive testing and evaluation (NDT/NDE)
- static load testing
- dynamic structural testing
- durability trend testing
- environmental testing
- thermal testing
Future AM manufactures special rigs and test equipment for all sectors from small electronic components to full size multi-wheel aircraft undercarriages.
All three Future Advanced Manufacture factories share one upper level management system, operating a common MRP2 production scheduling, testing and quality control system on a common network. Future AM ISO quality control and testing procedures have been approved by the Aerospace and Electronics industry to ensure common quality standard across the various disciplines. System details are available on request from Future AM's Quality Assurance Department.
